FROM SR-50 AT SR-405, go north 2.1 miles on SR-405, turn
left and go 1.4 miles to the end of Fox Lake Road (west
of I-95).
Open after 7:00 a.m. until dark, except for scheduled
use.
A premier regional park in North Brevard, this 31.57-acre
scenic getaway is ideal for large community events. A
paved road loops through the many palm and ornamental
trees. Facilities include 5 family picnic shelters, grills,
sand volleyball court, a fishing dock and a boat ramp
(with access to South Lake from Fox Lake, and numerous
channels to explore by canoe/kayak). 2 mid-sized pavilions
and a large pavilion seating up to 1000 with kitchen and
stage are available for rental.
Recent habitat enhancement of Fox Lake will be completed
with stocking of fish in April or May 2005 by the Florida
Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to include approximately
26,000 bluegill, 14,000 red ear sunfish (shellcracker),
and 8,000 largemouth bass fry.
WATCHABLE WILDLIFE: Listed in State of Florida Great Florida
Birding Trail—Water and Wading Birds (Coot, Snowy
Egret, Green Heron, Anhingas), Migratory Songbirds. Ocassionally—Swallow-tailed
Kites, Limpkin, Roseate Spoonbill, Sandhill Crane

FROM I-95, take SR-46 Exit-223 west towards Mims/Sanford.
Stay on SR-46 for 4.1 miles to Hatbill Road. Turn left
and go 8.5 miles to the Hatbill Rd/Baxter Point Rd intersection,
keep left and go 0.5 miles to the park.
Boat ramp open 24 hours a day.
This 15-acre park offers sport fishing from shoreline
or boat. Features include a boat ramp accessing the St.
Johns River and port-o-lets. Primitive camping by permit
on weekends.

SITUATED on both sides of SR-402 at the A. Max Brewer
Causeway from the east end of the draw bridge to the security
gates for Kennedy Space Center.
Open after 7:00 a.m. until dark, except for scheduled
use. Boat ramps open 24 hours a day.
This urban district river park is situated on both sides
of SR-402 at the A. Max Brewer Causeway from the east
end of the draw bridge to the security gates for Kennedy
Space Center. The 36.6-acre park provides convenient access
to the Indian River for fishing, water sports, sunbathing
and shuttle viewing. Recreational amenities include picnic
shelters, restrooms, boardwalk, fishing pier, and boat
ramps with paved parking for 46 cars and 47 boat trailer
spaces. Unpaved parking for the river shoreline accommodates
100 vehicles.
